Airport Pet Service Areas Around the World

Airports that service more than 10,000 passengers per year are legally required to provide a pet relief area. These pet bathrooms are incredibly useful for our four-legged friends, especially during layovers or after a long flight. But not all pet restrooms are created equal. Some are large, others are small. Some are outdoor, some are indoor. Some are completely private areas behind a door, while some are smack dab in the middle of an open hallway. Here are the pet bathrooms we’ve encountered, and where, so you’ll know what to expect when flying.

This post is consistently updated with new information and photos. Have you visited an airport pet bathroom not listed here? Send us the deets!

  1. Berlin Tegel airport has been closed down. It is replaced by the new Berlin Airport (BER), where I haven’t seen a pet relief area. No comfortable green areas around it either.
